Mr. Othman A. Abahussein is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 40 years of experience spanning healthcare services, insurance, and trading. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus on Hospital Administration from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, USA, in 1982. He later completed a Master’s degree in Health and Hospital Administration from King Saud University in affiliation with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987.
Mr. Abahussein began his career in early 1983 with the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), managing operations at the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh until the end of 1994. He then joined the National Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya), one of Saudi Arabia’s leading medical insurance providers, where he worked from 1995 to 1997.
In 1997, he was appointed General Manager of the Arabian Healthcare Company, part of the Olayan Group, a role he held until 2009. He subsequently served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Medical CARE Company until December 31, 2014. Since 2015, Mr. Abahussein has been working as a Senior Advisor and Operating Partner with TVM Capital Healthcare.
Graduated with a BBA from the American University of Beirut, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Actively engaged in global peer networks, including Lebanese International Finance Executives (LIFE), Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and TIGER 21.
